Your website is truly a blessing, in Guyana I have a corolla itz a 96 AE-110 looks like urs with the main differences being the front headlights, the tail lights being one piece and its a 1.5 litre engine.
That being said, I love tinkering with my car and prefer doing all the work myself, unless I cannot manage it, at which point my trusty mechanic will take over.
Your tutorials were very informative, and because of the clarity I've been able to do a lot of custom work. Do keep up the good work and post more stuff....
Thanking you in advance for the awesome work u're doing.

Thanx for the photos and tips on how to find and disable that stupid DRL for my 1998 Toy Corolla. I'd been struggling with diagnosing a problem with my headlights and couldnt find the thing using these expensive service manuals that I purchased.
Keep up the good work!

Found you're site through VWVORTEX. I have the M3 mirror pictured in your message board and have tried several times to figure the installation out. What I found was I'm missing the back side of the mirror in order to secure the mirror from the inside the car. Can you help me out in how to obtain these. I ordered these mirrors over a year ago on Ebay while I was on tour in Iraq. Thanks Manuel.

I have a 99 corolla ce and I put gauges from a 01 or 02 corolla s with tachometer, now my left blinker only comes on with the defrost button, and my hazard button only flashes the right blinker. My left blinker doesn't work with the left turn signal. Any guidance on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Your website is helpful and very intersting. My reason to keep on fixing my car is same as yours, I love my car and i want to go in a different way compared to everybody. Good luck and keep on going with your car, it's a pride for all of us that want to make our corollas the difference.

I'm looking for DIYs for cars and I stumbled upon your site.
Great DIYs, although my car is an old model Mitsubishi Galant 1985 model that I'm planning to restore to showroom condition if and when I save money for the works. But right now, I'm just looking at DIYs to keep me busy on weekends.
Keep up the good work.

Thank you for making such a complete, easy to understand website for the Corolla. I am most impressed with the time and thought put into these DIY sections. I own a 2001 Corolla S, and it drives me nuts that there are very few aftermarket parts for this car. I was referred to your site from the toyotanation forum and this is the answer to everything I ever wanted to modify my car with. Props and much love. Payce.

wasup bro, yea still looking on ur mods, seems u spent a lot of money for all of that. Still thinking.... maybe u can recomend me somth..
I would like to sell me tercel and buy thing like civic, but actually like toyota better, i just cant stay of this: any web site, any store... whatever any part for civic, doesn matter OEM or Perfomance. Ebay - full of staff for civic , tercel - nothing for it, really hard to find something even this stupid rear disk convertion, they dont even make CAI for tercels. WEAK - shortly.
And cant make my own - dont have any special tools, time, too much money... sucks.......

After reading your page, man you are funny!!
I couldn't help but to feel bad for the fact that you don't have many good clubs where you are at. With that said, here is a link to one of my favorite clubs here in Tampa, I hope some day you and your friends put enough money together and come visit this Club it will be worth your while, I can assure you of that.
go to www.amphitheaterybor.com under photo gallery click on video and look at it, it shows you what goes on in this club, picture and etc...
even music, the only thing it doesn't mention is the million dollar roating floor, then again i may be wrong it's been a while since i looked at it.
Congratulations on your new found treasure, cherish it, and pass it on my friend..
Love,
Rosaniela

Hi Bro,
Impressive at your DIY which many of our car enthusiast sees you as a Teacher.
Ok, some slight introduction, I am from Singapore, tiny small island which we call it a country(ironic). Read more of us(the country) u will get sick, esp on the price of the cars here.
Over here we hv no garage let alone any gd time with our costiest car. but then again we are this few people who want to make our ride the best we can feel as long as we can afford it.
Another important thing I notice...maybe of the "redtape" in our education and social environment. We can never have the "open mindset" as in your home.
Lastly we are proud of you.

Vamp-
Your website has helped me alot in finishing many jobs on my 1999 Corolla LE. Thanks so much for everything so far! I did have a question though: I ordered a set of Tein Lowering Springs, and I wanted to know if I NEED a spring compressor to finish the job corectly(?). If so, would:--- http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/az/in_our_stores/loan_a_tool/steering_suspension/spring_compressor.jsp --- work, or would:--- http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/az/in_our_stores/loan_a_tool/steering_suspension/strut_spring_tool.jsp --- work better??? Im still pretty new with modding cars, but am willing to make the effort!!! Thanks again, and I hope to hear from you soon!!!

first of all, i like what you have done with your car. very nice...clean. check out my car if you would like at www.cardomain.com/memberpage/555583 . i was wondering though, how did you attach the carpet to your trunk lid? i was looking to do that myself but wasn't sure how it would work best. hit me back when you get a chance. either leave a message on my site or send me an email (probably send an email cause you have to have an account on that site to send messages) thanks man! shcdreadhead@yahoo.com

Funny thing is that you put up sooooo much information, by the time one reads EVERYTHING it's like you almost know the person, Kinda neat. You really have a feel for writing a web page. I dont normaly sign GB's, but in this case, I felt I had to. Thanks for the great web page. You take care!!! If your EVER in the Tampa Bay, Florida area, check out Ybor City. Great clubs!!! ;o)

I was looking for DIYs since i wanna mod my own car, but know very little. I own a corolla AE111 99 model, much like yours. i have many many questions and I feel you can give me my answers, and you already have from your DIY pages. Thanks a million.
I am now 23, and I am really really impressed by the work you have done on your car.
So far, your site has given me the most useful tips and been most accurate in finding all that I wanna learn and more.
Keep in touch.

You're the only site i've been able to find that Air Safety Rules thing. Do you still have a copy of the original jpeg?
If so, could you email me it, (or upload it to my site). It's f**cken funny, i remember seeing it back in '99, and haven't seen it since.
Thanks,

Mr. Vamp I presume. My my I hear so much about you, you're a very popular man of Corolla owners all over the Net. I see you to are a Corolla owner, and a sporty one at that. I was shocked to see your info at the age of 25, and first assumed your picture to be 18. I do have a question though which is how I ran into your page. I'm a proud owner of the Corolla LE 2004, however I heard rumour that removeing one fuse can disable the DRL. Since you're more experienced, I was wondering if you knew the location of the fuse. Everyone else is talking about 97's to 03's. 04 is new, but it can't be that different can it? e-mail be back if you know how to disable the 04 DRL. Thanx.

I just want to thank you and congradulate you on a great site. It went right to my favorites. I own a 97' Chevy Malibu and I found your site when I was looking for a way to customize my taillights. You've helped me alot and I have so many great ideas for my car now. I see you've been through hell with your cars, but don't let that stop you. I just have one question for if you don't mind answering it. How would I make my third brakelight blink if I have two normal bulbs? Keep up the great work!

I actually spot your web-site on C3 web-site...which is long time ago...and accidently find you again on VVTi.net!! well....I am so happy to find you site "again" coz I remember I spot this "Vamp" guy on line helping ppl with DIY stuffs....but I just couldn't find you site after C3 is gone.....(they no longer have C3 web-site, right? no fund to keep up the site or wut?)
anyway....got a quick question for ya....
those street-glow neon bars you got on your rola....r they break easily? coz some friends of mine told me to expect changing them on a regular basis...coz they do break "easy"...
oh..by the way, I got a 98 white rola....I see you shave the moulding on your door and fender...looking good on a black rola.....what do you think it will look like on a white rola?

Vamp! Great to see there are still those how enjoy and better yet, take pride on doing their own mods as opossed to just pointing to a catalog. Very good DYT section and even tough I have done away with my '98 Corolla, the info still applies to just about any other vehicle. The site is super easy to navigate as well; got sent from cardomain.com and next thing it has been about 1.5 hrs just reading and getting ideas. Again, congratulations and keep up the good work.

i really have to congratulate you for your web page... it's amazing cause it has almost every detail of your life and it is very elaborated (i couldn't do that myself). but most important of all i really like the corolla section. i have a rolla myself (93-97) and i created a toyota club here in venezuela (i case you dont know venezuela is a country in south america) and my club has grown so much i can't even believe it so im giving you the URL in case u want to exchange banner or some kind of publicity. i really love the DIY section, it's so detailed and precise... i really have nothing more to say... all i can say is keep up the good work. i really enjoyed your webpage and i hope you enjoy mine... please visit.
PS: write the webmaster in case u want to exchange banners webmaster@toyotatuningclub.com or write me in case you need help translating anything you come across in my webpage (our native language is spanish so forgive me for my rusted english (: )

I was conducting a search that hopefully would tell me how to change-out the oxygen sensor on my grandsons 1995 Baretta. Just by luck, I accessed your site and find it loaded with excellent information and graphic pictures. Thanks for the information and I only wish I had instructions available on removing and reinstalling the forward sensor on the Baretta. Upon first exam, it appears to be a real challenge. The library and Chiltons should be of assistance. You are a fine and caring person and I thank you. Bill

Hi Vamp
I've spend so many days to find one 'double or tripple gauge pod pillar'for 2001 Corolla. I will not use the universal one for the pillar side.
I was wondering do you have any idea that other cars' gauge pod might fit the corolla??
Thank you very much. Eric

After having my engine die on me (long story... not my fault) keeping an eye on the oil temp and oil pressure is a good thing. I also like to monitor my voltage output since I run a system and have already had to replace the alternator once.

One on the best step by step websites that I have ever come across. Makes me want to run out and buy a Toyota! Thank you for opening up so much information and not being selfish like some of those guys on ebay who charge $3.99 for "secrets on how to ...."

i saw the car on teammeguiars.com and was interested in what you did to it, i have a silver 99 chevy prism and i was looking for some ideas for what to do on my car. ive been looking for an air intake system for a while so i started looking for intakes for the corolla to see if i could use them, procarparts.com told me i couldnt but looking at your engine and how you did yours it looks like i can anyway. thanks foor your diy section it might help me decide what to do when im ready, though of course im gonna do it my own way and not just copy off you

Just wanted to say how well and in-depth you described all the work you did on your car. Once I have the money to buy the parts I want, I must just try putting on some of them myself. Think im gonna start with the interior first. Thanks for all the stuff.
